About the Spinal  Cord Tumour Forum

The Spinal Cord Tumour Forum is a support group for people who have or have had a benign spinal cord tumour.

Carole and Helen, who had both had surgery to remove a tumour, set it up in 2005.

We knew that we had a rare condition and we hoped to make contact with other people who suffer from this.

We decided to set up our website and we have heard from many people since then.  We have been able to introduce some of them to others who had the same type of tumour and symptoms as their own.

We have also held meetings at a hotel in London once or twice a year.

These were well attended and several times we had guest speakers.  On other occasions we just held a get together so that everyone could share their experiences.

On the website we have a Your Stories page where people who have been diagnosed with a benign spinal cord tumour have written about themselves.

We also have a page which gives information about benign spinal cord tumours and we have published presentations and the results of surveys we have carried out.

In addition we have an email address so that people can write to us privately.
