1 in 6 is living with a neurological condition

1 in 6 people in the UK live with a neurological condition. A neurological condition is any condition that affects the brain, spinal cord and/or nerves. Spinal cord tumours [ SCT] are amongst one of the rarest of neurological conditions that can affect people. Each person affected by a SCT tends to follow their own unique journey with the condition and roads to recovery following any treatment.

If you would like to contribute to our blog about any stories you have relating to say your medical treatment or life post SCT then please do contact us, and we would be delighted to share your experiences here on the blog.

As we are in a very “exclusive” club of people who have lived experience of SCT then there can a tendency to feel isolated, that no one really understands as it is so rare. We are here to share so you hopefully don’t feel quite as on your own and can say “yes I get what you mean!”

To begin our blog, I have written about my experiences of intensive neuro physio rehabilitation that I undertook in 2023.

In the meantime, if you wish to read further about neurological conditions you can do so by visiting the Neurological Alliance.
