Just wanted to say a big thank you to all who made a donation to Sober October and the Coffee , Cake and Craft event .
A total of £452.24 was raised over the two events for the Forum and the Brain and Spine Foundation of which £226.12p goes to the Forum.
If you have any fundraising ideas for the future that we could do collectively to ensure the maintenance of the Forum , please do post a comment.
On another note . I would be interested to hear from anyone who has found their symptoms have continued to change , even if it’s years since their surgery.
For me it is now 4 years and I have found the cold has started affecting my legs . They become so sensitive that anything touching my skin feels acutely uncomfortably.
I have also recently noticed that my right foot especially my toes feel as if water is being poured over them or my sock or shoe feels wet, when in reality it’s not! Very odd.
I have also noticed that a strange traction, pulling sensation I got years before my diagnosis has come back. Very infrequently and they are transient almost to the point that I began to wonder if it was in my head. I can feel it in my right thigh and then it dissipates just above my knee. Any ideas?
Lastly , just wanted to say merry Christmas, happy holiday and here’s to a healthy new year!
